In Silents Now workshops, participants young and old become creatively involved in the life of silent films in fun and engaging ways.
In ‘Voicing Villainy’, youngsters and members of the wider community are invited to perform versions of unremitting villainy in humorous engagement with on-screen villains of the silent era. Participants have declared this not just funny but even therapeutic as they ‘release their inner villain’ in hammy engagement with some wonderful moustache-twirling, wicked laugh-emitting, eyes-narrowing, cloak-swirling classic villains of the silent-era.
In ‘Comic Collaborations’, some of the zaniest of the comedians from the silent era enlist contemporary collaborators in a series of anarchic adventures.
